Berneslai Homes is the arms-length management organisation (ALMO) responsible for 18,000 homes on behalf of Barnsley Council. Our vision is clear; Creating great homes and communities with the people of Barnsley . We work broadly with partners to make Barnsley a Place of Possibilities support skills development, economic growth and build strong, safe communities where people want to live.

We are seeking a new Executive Director to join our team and support us to make a difference in Barnsley. If you are an individual who will be curious, with a can-do attitude and puts customers first this is the role for you.

Sector experience isn’t essential, although you will be an established strategic leader with a reputation for forward-looking and innovative ideas, driving organisations forward whilst recognising the importance of strong governance. Able to challenge constructively and willing to be challenged, you’ll bring experience in developing high-performing teams with a track record of delivering performance improvements through use of data and technology in a customer centric environment.

Leading teams within strategy, governance, finance, human resources, IT and organisational design, we are looking for someone who is able to work with residents, board and partners successfully in order to innovate, inspire and take Berneslai to the next level.
