Position: Sous chef
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (+ tronc)
Establishment: Gastro Pub
Location: Nr Andover
Hours: 48- 50 hours per week, 5/7 Days

A family run gastro pub just outside of Andover is looking for a confident and talented sous chef to join their kitchen team. They are looking for candidates that have 2 rosette experience as well as an understanding of Pub culture. Previous experience in a pub is preferred.
My clients are looking for an all rounder who is looking to run a small team and create amazing food in beautiful location. An ideal candidate will be charismatic, creative and passionate about the industry.
The Pub has a small team of chefs who work closely together so an ideal candidate will be able to work with the team to ensure that customers are receiving the highest quality food.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To help plan, cost & produce suitable specials and meals from scratch
To help be creative in menu item design and tailor to the locals needs
To work closely with the front of house team to ensure they are knowledgeable about all food served and are able to recommend food items to customers.
To have a good understanding of allergens and be responsible for ensuring this knowledge is carried throughout the team.
To enforce health and safety as well as food safety in the absence of the head chef.
To have confident knowledge of food and hygiene and be able to be responsible for all elements in the kitchen as well as train the team accordingly.
