Job description

We are looking for a counsellor or therapist(we will also consider applicants who are studying, or willing to train) to work with a range of different clients on a self-employed basis.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year’s experience.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of, and the ability to work with a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities depending on the needs of the client, including CBT.

2. Up to date knowledge of legislation, procedures and regulations, including safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

3. Knowledge of, and the ability to implement, risk assessment procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

1. Ability to deliver one to one counselling both face-to-face and online.

2. Ability to develop appropriate, positive relationships.

3. Ability to communicate and involve clients in decision making.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

5. Excellent inter-personal skills.

6. Good organisational skills, including the ability to manage appointments.

7. Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.

8. To be familiar with Microsoft Office, Zoom.

9. The ability to carry out assessments and ensure the client is suitable for service.

3. To maintain good levels of attendance and to be punctual.

You must have:

-An enhanced DBS
-A satisfactory reference
-A counselling qualification

Job Types:
Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Salary: £12.50- 15:00 per hour
