Body Chassis Engineering (BCE) is one of the larger departments within the JLR Product Development organisation. The department has complete responsibility for the design and development of all Jaguar and Land Rover Interior and Exterior systems from concept design through to volume production.

WHAT TO EXPECT

For this exciting new role, you will be within the BCE the Body Test Operations (BTO) team. BTO is responsible for the planning and management of physical test properties to support the development and legal sign-off sub-system testing on behalf of our internal engineering customers.

As a Programme Lead Engineer within this department, you will have the opportunity to work on the exciting next generations of JLR products. You will have sole responsibility and trust to work on the life-cycle planning and management of the necessary physical test properties.

The role of Body Test Operations Programme Lead follows four main phases:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

As this is a lead role, we expect the successful candidate to have previous experience in a project management capacity with a track record of delivery. You should possess the ability to interrogate CAD assemblies to understand three tiers of systems structures and a demonstrable understanding of Bill of Materials.

From a communications standpoint, we expect strong experience of effective cross-functional working and the ability to articulate complex data and information clearly both in written and verbal form.

For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
