Hours: 15 per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Hay 10 (£8,614 - £9,059 per annum)
This is a temporary post until 2nd June 2024 to cover leave of absence. There is scop for this to be extended.
We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will involve supporting a child 1:1 with their learning in class. This temporary position will be until the end of term 5, pending the return of the substantive postholder. Experience of general or specialised classroom support as well as English and maths GCSE (or equivalent) are required.

The new TA will:
•be patient and have an unconditionally positive approach to children with distressed behaviours
•have a sense of humour and be patient but firm with a clear and consistent approach and high expectations of learning and behaviour
•have the skills to build a positive, nurturing relationship that models inclusion, patience and high expectations
•bring an enthusiasm for the role and a passion for helping every child achieve.
•be creative and show initiative to ensure a variety of teaching approaches using different mediums
•have a good knowledge of providing accurate feedback and setting SMART targets
•be a team player with good communication skills, willing to be flexible and work collaboratively with the team.
•be willing to and have experience of working with children across Key Stage 2 in class, in small groups or 1:1.
