Job description

Restoration Technician needed with previous experience of restoring property and furniture that has been damaged by flood and fire. The Restoration Technician will work as part of the first response teams and be responsible for restoring, drying, cleaning and sanitizing property effected by water, flooding, smoke and fire damage.

This is a field-based role covering properties effected by Fire, Flood and Water damage across your designated region.

A Van and Fuel card will be provided to the Restoration Technician.

Key responsibilities for the Restoration Technician
• To undertake water damage and accidental damage restoration projects (drying, cleaning and sanitising as appropriate)
• Ensuring customers receive excellent service whilst managing claims costs and expenses within the scope of the insurance policy
• Working closely with the First Response, Surveying and Claims teams to ensure that all instructions are acted on in a timely manner and in line with any KPI or SLA as required
• Undertaking onsite inspections, installation and monitoring of drying equipment, mitigation assessments and cleaning following water and other perils.
• To work whilst maintaining safe working conditions in line with Health & Safety requirements and regardless of location
• Undertaking triage assessments and reporting accordingly.

Key Experience for the Restoration Technician
• Previous experience of restoring, cleaning, sanitizing either water or fire damaged properties/ possessions/ furniture etc
• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of the Insurance claims process (desirable)
• Previous experience within damage restoration (desirable)
• Asbestos awareness (desirable)
