Job description
As a Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in helping individuals of all ages improve their physical health, mobility, and quality of life. You will assess patients' physical abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and other conditions. Your goal is to restore, maintain, or enhance patients' functional abilities and independence through evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems to identify impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Perform manual muscle testing, range of motion assessments, gait analysis, and other physical examinations to evaluate patients' physical status and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy modalities, and functional training exercises.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes to track improvements over time.
- Design and oversee rehabilitation programs to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, or orthopaedic disorders.
- Provide specialised interventions for specific populations, such as paediatric physiotherapy, geriatric rehabilitation, sports injuries, or occupational health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and rehabilitation assistants, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
- Address pain management issues through various therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, and exercise prescriptions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Promote functional independence and mobility through activities of daily living (ADL) training, ergonomic assessments, and assistive device prescription.
- Use patient education and behavioural interventions to promote self-efficacy, adherence to treatment plans, and long-term functional improvements.
- Stay updated on advances in physiotherapy research, evidence-based practice, and clinical guidelines through continuing education, workshops, and professional development activities.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer review, and interdisciplinary case conferences to enhance clinical skills, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and program development activities to advance the practice of physiotherapy and improve patient outcomes.
Your Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
- Membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or other relevant professional organizations.
- Clinical experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, or other specialty areas of physiotherapy.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Working hours and benefits
Our current Physiotherapist roles in Manchester are paying from £20to £30/hour. Our working hours are flexible, with shifts available both during day and night, from Monday to Sunday. Premium shifts are available for nights, weekends and bank holidays.
