Job description

CNC Miller required to join a well–established manufacturing company based in the Uckfield area. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of engineering machines. This position would be ideal for someone with CNC Programming Setting and Operating experience as well as previous experience within a manual machining role.

CNC Miller Position Overview

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts to specification / drawings.
• Develop CNC programs using CAM software or manual programming language.
• Select and install the appropriate cutting tools and fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tool changes, and maintenance performed.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
• Adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

CNC Miller Position Requirements

• Previous experience within a similar position
• Technical degree or certification in CNC programming and operation preferred, but not essential.
• Experience working on a range of machines including CNC and Manual
• Familiar with CAM software and manual programming languages
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Uckfield

CNC Miller Position Remuneration

• Full time – permanent position
• Monday to Thursday – 36 hours
• Salary – 30,000 – 35,000 (DOE)
• 33 days holiday including BH
• Pension scheme
• Free parking
