Job Description: Teaching Assistant - ASAP Start Job Duties:
- Provide support to teachers in delivering educational activities and lessons.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Help students with their learning, both individually and in small groups.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Supervise students during classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring their inclusion in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Demonstrated experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with educational practises and policies.
- Understanding of child development and learning theories.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant certification.
- Additional qualifications in special educational needs or learning support.
This is a temporary position with full-time hours. The teaching assistant will work in a school setting, primarily in classrooms. The role may involve some physical activity and occasional lifting or supporting of students with mobility needs.
