Job description
As the Management Systems Lead Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits in accordance with the Annual Audit Schedule. You will monitor the deployment of our Integrated Management Systems and support the identification of risks and opportunities to enable continuous improvement. You will report to the HSEQ Systems and Audit Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Auditing to monitor compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements
Conduct audits of company procedures in accordance with the Annual Audit Schedule
Conduct audits with external Supply Chain partners
Log audits and non-conformances onto the Management System
Provide audit reports to site teams
Support and approve the timely closure of audit findings
Support the HSEQ Systems and Audit Manager in compiling monthly reports on audit trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement
Advising and mentoring support to operational delivery teams
Provide advice and mentoring support to site teams during internal audits to raise standards and understand IMS requirements and adoption.
Advise site teams on closing non-conformances, follow up audit responses and ensure effective review and closure.
Communication/meetings
Attend monthly HSEQ Audit Meetings with the CFO, Director for HSEQ, Engineering Director and the HSEQ Systems and Audit Manager
Attend weekly HSEQ Meetings via Teams
Attend bi-monthly Quality Team Meetings
External Audits
Support the HSEQ Systems and Audit Manager with external audits where required
Key Measures & Targets:
Conduct audits in accordance with the Annual Audit Schedule
Assist Auditees in the closure of non-conformances
Ensure our electronic Management System is updated with all Audits and Non-conformances
Attend Monthly Audit Update meetings
Attend weekly HSEQ Teams meetings

Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:
Essential
Lead Auditor Qualification with at least 5 years experience preferably in the Construction Sector
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001
High standard of written English
Good communication skills
People skills – ability to liaise with staff/operatives of all levels within Barhale.
Excellent use of MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Effective communicator with strong presentation and report-writing skills.
CSCS card
Able to work as a team member, but capable of working alone to tight deadlines as appropriate.
