We’re expanding our office team by recruiting a new person to provide admin and finance support for our climateaction hub project.

We’re open to job share, hybrid working and basically anything which contributes to excellent climate action outcomesfor Lanarkshire.

Although our head office is in rural South Lanarkshire we plan to establish bases around the Motherwell/Hamilton areaas well as in the Northern area of North Lanarkshire.

Are you an excellent development officer with a keen interest in climate change?

We’ve got the perfect job for you, we are currently looking for 4 new team members for our Lanarkshire Climate ActionHub, we’ve got jobs related to Energy (including energy efficiency and energy generation), Growing &Greenspace, Climate Engagement & Circular Economy, Transport (including active travel and communitytransport).

Would you like to spread the word about climate action?

We’ve got a great job for someone to join our climate action project team as our comms and events officer, you wouldneed to be great at organising events and have excellent communication skills to run our social media, web andprint requirements.

If you had coding or design skills that would be a major plus.

Do you have the knowledge and skills to lead and deliver a vital and exciting range of strategic projects in a localcommunity setting? Do you have experience in managing a team of staff and/or volunteers? Does developing anddelivering projects centred on health and wellbeing and activities in a local centre used by approx. 500 serviceusers each week appeal to you? Would you like to be part of the growth and development of this community assetby taking the centre forward for the next generation?

If so, this exciting opportunity as Centre Manager through a period of ambitious growth and development over next twoyears could be for you.

The community group was established in 2018 and in 2021 the group secured the Coatbridge Stadium building to delivera community hub in North Lanarkshire to encourage active participation and support mental health and well-beingthrough sports, activities, events and give local people a sense of belonging. We have achieved numeroussuccesses to date, most notably the development and growth of the centre over the past two years for the use ofthe community. The role will report directly to Cliftonville & Coatdyke Community Group (CCCG) Board ofDirectors and be responsible for the line management of 8-10 part time staff as well as volunteers. The postwill also work closely the Community Development Officer and various partners, including many localorganisations, and across the wider community.
