Your Role as the SEN Teaching Assistant:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on intervention, your primary responsibility will be providing crucial support to a non-verbal child with Autism, requiring personalized care. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions tailored to the student's individual needs.
- Offering one-on-one assistance to the students and working with small groups to facilitate their educational and developmental goals.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes the emotional well-being and academic progress of the child.
- Embracing the trust's values of integrity, openness, and doing what's right for the greater good as part of your daily ethos.
