An immediate vacancy for a Service Engineer, experienced in hydraulic and ideally marine systems.

Working within a dockyard facility in Portsmouth, you will be involved in service, repair and periodic maintenance of Thales equipment on board small to medium sized vessels.

Our Opportunity:

As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, setting to work and in service support of Sonar Systems deployed on Royal Navy and export customers Ships.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Although the role is largely based on site in Portsmouth, there may be an infrequent requirement for you to travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas.

About You:

As a Field Services Engineer you will have a track record of performing in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably dealing with Complex Systems. You must be capable of resolving issues and problems, with the ability to diagnose hydraulic and other mechanical faults.

You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the spoken and written word. Your experience will demonstrate your high level of self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure are vital.

Ideally qualified in a core engineering subject (electrical, mechanical, etc.), preferably HNC, endured apprenticeship or REME.

Demonstrable experience in conducting installations and or support engineering preferably in a maritime environment and working knowledge of complex systems is desirable.
