Lead Teacher of Art, Design – Permanent position – MPS1 – MPS6
Smile Education have an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced and ambitious Art and Design practitioner to join and lead the department in a constantly improving and highly aspirational secondary academy with an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’. This highly regarded secondary academy are keen to meet talented, enthusiastic and outstanding teachers and leaders to continue to lead the department to new heights of achievement. They are setting themselves high targets for the development of Art across the curriculum in their school. The successful candidate will have access to an outstanding Trust CPD programme and will be given the opportunity to gain an NPQ qualifications. The academy’s GCSE results have improved significantly over the last few years with the school achieving a progress score of +0.07. GCSE outcomes in Graphics have improved with students achieving 100% at grade 9-4 and 77% achieving 9-5 in 2023. This really is a school on the up, one which will give great opportunities for a teacher to potentially move into middle leadership in the future. The school are looking for a practitioner who is passionate about art and design in order to motivate and stimulate the young minds they teach.
