Joining our newly-formed central services, we are thrilled to be welcoming two forward thinking, driven individuals to step into our newly-created Principal Analytics positions working across The Forge Holiday Group.

Establishing ourselves as a data rich, data hungry business, our D&A team has an opportunity to capitalise on the strong foundations it has built, and unlock data as a super power so that our teams can build competitive edge and make informed decisions. These positions therefore will sit at the forefront of our development as a crucial member of the team.

- Paying a salary between £55,000 and £60,000 per annum

Our Principal Analyst are experts at deriving actionable, and trusted insights from our data.

Reporting to a Data & Analytics Business Partner, your new role will be pivotal in driving the delivery of initiatives within one of our customer or owner squads. Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic data products, dashboards and exploratory data analysis, you will bring a wealth of experience and will sit at the pinnacle of analytical ability in our team.

Experienced at using data to driving high-performing businesses (particularly in e-Commerce), you will act as a mentor to more junior members of the team making this position best suited to an individual who wishes to be an individual contributor with a remit to drive the application of predictive and prescriptive analysis in a high-performing team.

First and foremost we are interested in those who have the potential to hold these values, as for this position, we ask you to have the following key skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline (advanced degree desirable).
- Significant experience in analytics or related roles, showcasing impact.
- Mastery of analytics tools such as Tableau, SQL and Excel.
- Proven ability applying statistical methods to analysis to drive commercial impact (e.g. correlation, regression, chi-2, ANOVA) using a relevant technology (e.g. Python, R).
- Track record conducting analysis, and taking this through to building predictive and prescriptive analysis dashboards with little to no support.
- Expert in designing and constructing effective reports and dashboards that transform data into actionable insights.

Although standouts will also have:
- Experience applying Python for data cleaning / modelling is, and/or experience integrating python models with Tableau reporting.
- Experience working with DBT in a modern cloud environment (e.g. Git source control).
- Experience building / coaching on data fluency programmes.
- Commercial awareness, ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism sectors.
- Experience in an e-Commerce environment working with website / mobile performance analytics.
