Rate: £22.87ph increasing to £35.65ph after 13 weeks Umbrella inside IR35

Job Description:
Deliver best in class wiring solutions for commercial customers as part of our client's Pro Special Vehicles Digital Integration Services Team. Role will require the ability to design, develop and launch factory and conversion, install low volume quick to market wiring solutions for customers, both internal and external.
Skills Required: - Ability to work directly with customers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to be autonomous.
- Proficient with IT systems.
- Writing wiring specification and able to understand engineering drawings.
- Interfacing with Systems Engineering Team on logical and physical schematic development.
- Support system and functional level design reviews of electrical schematics (compatibility reviews) where appropriate with suppliers.
- Collaborate with Wiring Suppliers to define the correct specification unique to application.
- Lead prototype and low fidelity prove out physical builds.
- Work with suppliers to determine the right solution for the customer.
- Support complexity reduction and efficiency workstreams with Cross-functional Teams.
- Supporting the 2D drawing preparation, sign-off and release steps.
- Establishing business case on bespoke fleet electrical solutions with electrical wiring and/or component suppliers, marketing, and fleets.
- Ensuring the robustness of electrical wiring interface work done by converters that do not compromise existing base vehicle (Key off load etc).
- Ensuring Marketing requirements and PDL are translated into engineering solutions (Features and functions of system are aligned).
- Gathering data on relevant SDSs required for the SV engineered features.
- Supporting technology reviews to develop alternative EDS solutions.
- Monitoring Field Conversions impacting SV Electrical options.
- Investigating better solutions for continuous improvement.
- Planning and supporting the testing of the engineered features.
- Performing system level verification and validation and provide system level Sign-Off.
- Providing support to pre-production and launch events.
- Providing information to Body Equipment Mounting Manual Electrical Content.
Skills Preferred:
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and a willingness to learn.
Experience Required:
- Working within or experience of commercial vehicles and conversions.
- Strong experience of working in electrical distribution systems environment working with automotive wiring design and development.
- Experience of 2D design tool for wiring drawing.
- Experience working with customers.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in a workshop / hands on environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Education Required:
- Ideally engineering degree in electrical field but open to other qualifications if experience/skill set is suitable.
Education Preferred:
- Degree in wiring/electrical or equivalent discipline.
Additional Information:
This role is INSIDE IR35
Travel: Travel to support launch of Special Vehicles features in Kocaeli.
Plant Location: Hybrid 2-3 days in office and flexible as required to meet business needs.
