The Assistant Category Manager is required to expand the capacity of the Purchasing and Category Management team to support the New Product Introduction and Change Management processes.

Your main responsibility will be to be the main function contact on NPI and Change Management activities, which will require:

• Attending meetings as the function representative including Project Meetings, CO planning and review meetings, SC Priority reviews
• Be a key enabler of actions, communication and feedback between project teams, other stakeholders and the rest of the SC team.
• Advise timings and implementation plans for Change orders and NPI.
• Provide guidance on the best course of action for successful and timely completion of ECRs and ECOs
• Consult with Category Managers on sourcing strategy, ensuring keeping in line with Business and department strategies and objectives.
• Support with data and D365 system updates, ensuring BOM and component changes are successfully updated.
• Ensure co-ordination of component and product updates and changes with other stakeholders in the business
• Managing quotation and sample ordering
• Work with buyers on stock planning and liability, ensuring we are ready for production release while keeping liability to a minimum
• Understand Obsolescence impacts of NPI and Change Management, ensuring any high risk is flagged and deactivation of products, components and BOMs is completed
