Role: Care Supervisor
Location: Casa di Lusso, Bridgwater
Hours: 46 hours (4 shifts) per week, 07.45-20.00, includes alternate weekends
Salary: £12.65 per hour (+ £2 p/h overtime enhancement)
Notaro Care Homes are now recruiting for a committed and reliable Care Supervisor to work at their purpose-built, dementia nursing home Casa di Lusso, in Bridgwater. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and will have their Level 3 in Health and Social Care Diploma and have completed medication management training.
THE ROLE
- To provide all necessary support to people living at the home enabling them to live an active and fulfilled life, whilst promoting a happy and friendly environment, whilst adhering to CQC regulations/legislation's and guidelines
- To undertake the supervision and induction of the care staff and new members of care staff
- To assist in the daily support & care of each individual person in line with their written plan of care in a person centred way
- To help promote independence and choice for all individuals who use the service in line with their written and agreed plan of care
- To have a good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty guidelines
- Allocating workloads to the whole home, with the Nurse in Charge ensuring skills of care staff and people’s individual needs match.
- Assisting where needed in personal care, maintaining privacy and dignity at all times and allowing choice in line with the individuals’ capacity to choose and the written plan of care.
- Participation in the basic clinical care (where nursing is provided) of the person under the supervision of trained staff e.g. Pressure area care, oral care, eye care and foot care.
- If competent to do so, undertake medication rounds and administer medications under the guidance and agreement of the Nurse in Charge.
THE RIGHT PERSON
- Must have a Level 3 (or above) Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Must have completed Medication Management Training
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work both as a team member and on own initiative
- Must demonstrate a loyalty, flexibility and commitment to the Care Home
- Be able to carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with Directors/Operations Team
