Unit9 Ltd are seeking a Freelance Game Designer, EU or America EST basedto support a Quest 3 project where players will get the chance to test the new full body tracking APK through an active dance game meets fitness program. The players will be able to access/play three different modes for a journey that fits their profiles and goals, and the rest of the mechanics is ours to define and establish.
The Game Designer will be a core member of the creative team, supporting or directing choices, establishing the chore mechanics, and monitoring the feedback.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities;
Defining the long-term strategy of the design
Designing the core gameplay, game mechanics, user progression and gameplay loops
All gathered in clear and kept updated design documentation including initial feature briefs and final design/patterns
Quick-prototyping game mechanics in Unity Engine with the dev team
Establishing the game progression journey and unlock system for each player type
Game design documentation
Balancing and tuning gameplay
Playtesting
Experience Required;
Years experience: At least 5 years
Rhythm games experience. XR game design experience would be ideal.
Technical experience: Unity, XR
Other:
Great presentation skills
Excellent creativity to generate innovative mechanics
