Health & Safety Manager job in Measham, Leicestershire for a reputable, privately owned housebuilder. Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager from a housebuilder background to drive improvement and standards across multiple regions. Offering a basic of Circa £65,000 + Car Allowance £9.9k or Company Car + Fuel Card + 10% Bonus.
Our client was established 50 years ago, with 10 offices across the Midlands, East Anglia, Southwest and Northwest. They are one of the UK's largest privately owned housebuilders, they strive to deliver quality housing that is sympathetic to the individual area and community. They are currently delivering 4000 units per year across 9 regions. To be considered you must be able to commute to either their head office in Measham or Hinckley 1 day per week, covering sites across their East Midlands, Midlands and North West Regions. Ideally, you will be located in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire or Nottinghamshire.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Director of Health & Safety Manager and supporting the current Senior Health & Safety Manager and working across multiple sites
- Deputising in the absence of the Senior Health & Safety Manager
- Support with auditing and inspection of sites
- Liaise with external H&S Consultants to drive improvement
- Carry out training and seminars to include training of Sub-Contractors and ongoing reviews of safe systems
- Assist the CDM Facilitator with the completion of CDM documentation in compliance with the businesses CDM processes and legislative requirements
- Ensure that H&S standards on site are maintained and that each development is compliant with procedures
- Provide concise accident and incident investigation reports to reduce risk.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' experience as a Health & Safety Manager
- Experience in construction Health & Safety Management for a housebuilder
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety
- Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel across the above regions.
