Role: Health & Safety Consultant
Location: Plymouth
Rate: up to £300 day rate.
Fortel have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, health & Safety Consultant to join us on an ad - hoc basis, your role will be enhancing safety measures on our clients' construction site.
You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments, identifying hazards, and developing robust Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) tailored to the expansion of Devonport Dockyard project.
The duties of Health & Safety Consultant will include, however are not limited to:
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to implement effective safety measures and protocols.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety best practices to project teams.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and regulations.
The successful Health & Safety consultant will possess the following:
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Consultant, Safety Advisor, or similar role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards pertaining to construction sites.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential risks effectively.
- NEBOSH or similar certification in Occupational Health and Safety would be an advantage.
- Experience in developing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Be able to pass security vetting (includes providing references, passing security police checks & providing photo identification)
Successful applicants will be required to pass security vetting.
