Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Batley, West Yorkshire

• Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?
• Are you a new graduate Vet looking for their first role or perhaps a recent 1-3 year graduate looking for support?
• Would you like to work in an established veterinary hospital?

We are recruiting for a Permanent Newly Graduated Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal hospital in Batley, West Yorkshire. This role is full time for 40 hours per week comprising of 35 hours Monday - Friday. The Vet receives one day off each week. There is a shared 1:4 weekend rota with no sole charge. The Vet will have two consulting shifts per week along with one surgical shift per week and one in patient shift in the hospital.

This is a purpose built, large and busy 24hr practice with state-of-the-art facilities. They provide OOH cover and additional support to 15 practices across the West Yorkshire region so referral work, ECC work and inpatient care, routine surgeries and consultations are all provided within the hospital. Ongoing clinical and management support is available. As this is a hospital, you will also see some ECC work.

• Team: 14 vets, 12 RVNs, 7 SVNs and supportive non-clinical team

About you:

• You will either be a recently qualified Vet or 1-3 years qualified.
• You will be forward thinking, ambitious and motivated vet
• You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
• You will be passionate about all aspects of your veterinary work
• You will be driven and ambitious
• Ambition to study towards areas of special interest are welcome but not essential for the role
• You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
• You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
• You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
• You will be a strong team player

Package:
