Regeneration Project Officer (Housing Management)
- 36 hours per week
- Driving licence and own vehicle required
- Monday to Friday
- Fully onsite - no remote working
- Enhanced DBS required
- Previous experience in housing management ie housing officer, or previous regeneration experience required
- Temporary position with a local authority. 3 months with the view of extension.
- £19.48 per hour PAYE
- £23.00 (estimation) per hour Umbrella
Overview of the role:
- To act as the champion and lead officer for all housing management activities on the housing regeneration sites. Co-ordinate all housing management and estate activities required during each phase of consultation, decant and development.
- Ensure local Hubs are properly supported, co-ordinate relevant workshops, events, sessions to address residents' needs. To provide a high-quality housing management service which deals with tenancy and leasehold management services to residents living on the estate.
- Engage with local councillors and maintain key relationship through effective and proactive management of the environment, housing management and residents. To manage the stakeholder relationships so that the community needs are met during regeneration.
- Co-ordinate all estate based, cleaning, security, maintenance, and caretaking schedule during each phase. Adjust schedules, commission, and monitor operations to suit the needs of each site. Monitor the expenditure and forecast likely resources,
- Support people to sustain their homes and quality of life. Provide advice for safeguarding and health and well-being on a wide range of issues including housing, welfare rights, personal finance, hoarding, tenancy management, nuisance, anti-social behaviour, mediation, life skills and the promotion of personal independence.
Experience required for this post will be as follows:
- Working in social housing, care, or similar public sector housing management role
- Managing key relationships, elected members, and resident groups
- Experience of dealing with complex casework both face to face and in writing
- Contract monitoring and commission estate services or facilities management to high standards.
- Staff supervision is desirable.
- Providing good tenancy, housing and leasehold advice, best practice, and compliance to manage ASB and nuisance.
