“In all my time at the Guild I have enjoyed many different types of class from Bridge to Spanish but most recently Mindfulness which has changed aspects of my thinking and how I react to what life throws at me. It was a highly valuable course with an excellent teacher. Along the way I’ve made good friends and have an excellent social life. I feel that I’m keeping in good mental health due to my varied interests in a wide range of subjects, plus the social interaction of course. I started volunteering on reception about 10 years ago because I wanted to do something worthwhile for my community. I only live locally so it’s very easy to walk to. The Guild is a warm and welcoming environment. If I could offer any advice to new comers it would be, just book in and open new doors!”
