We are recruiting for a Wellbeing Worker to join our Leeds Sensory Services to provide high quality support to our service users who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Visually Impaired, Deafblind, and 16+ and live within the area of Leeds.
As part of the role you will:
Be offering information, advice, and guidance on a range of topics using appropriate communication methods
Provide service user information about specialist equipment and providing low level VI Equipment under the guidance of the Equipment Worker
Dealing with referrals accurately
Promoting independent living by advising and signposting to services
Undertaking strengths-based assessments, support plans and Risk Assessments with service users
Working with third party agencies and sub-contracted partners
To be successful for this post:
You will have experience in Working with people who have Visual Impairment
You will have experience in undertaking needs-led assessments
You will have experience in providing Information, Advice and Guidance
You will have strong IT skills
You will be willing to learn British Sign Language
