Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has performed a similar role with heavy engines/gensets, perhaps, in the marine and/or energy sectors. We would also consider candidates experienced in maintaining heavy plant/HGV’s who may be interested in cross training in CHP engine technology.
Highly organised and self-motivated, you are someone who can adopt routine procedures and who has an attention for detail.
There is also a requirement to enter into a weekend call out rota (I weekend in 3).Duties of the Maintenance Engineer will include:• Routine servicing of equipment, including gas engine, generator, CO2 Catalyst and heat recovery systems.
The successful candidate will report to the Area Supervisor and respond to company remote Service Desk and will be able to communicate well at all levels, with Directors, other work colleagues, suppliers and customers.
You should have a full clean driving licence and be computer literate, being competent in the use of Excel/Word/Outlook. Anyone with experience of the following engine types will be of particular interest:
Cummins, Jenbacher, CAT, Man, Deutz, MTU.
Highly competitive basic salary plus call standby duty and overtime payments.
Full time hours are 8 per day, normally 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Holidays are 25 pa plus statutory and pension. A company funded van and mobile phone is also provided as well as any specialist tools.
