Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant (TA)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and nurturing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of young children within our nursery setting. The Nursery TA will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children.

Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Learning Activities:

   • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
   • Work with individual children or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
   • Foster a love for learning through creative and stimulating activities.

2. Behavior Management:

   • Promote positive behavior and assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies.
   • Encourage social interaction and cooperation among children.

3. Assessment and Record-Keeping:

   • Contribute to the assessment of children's progress and maintain accurate records.
   • Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding individual child development.

4. Health and Safety:

   • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all children.
   • Assist in the supervision of children during outdoor play and excursions.

5. Communication:

   • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress.
   • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and strategies for effective teaching and support.

6. Personal Care:

   • Assist with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene, as needed.

7. Professional Development:

   • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
   • Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
