Job description

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Llantrisant, South Wales

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and techniques to improve communication skills, articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and swallowing function.
• Provide support and education to clients, families, and caregivers to facilitate progress and maximize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and integrated treatment approaches.
• Stay current with advancements in the field of speech and language therapy through continuing education, professional development, and participation in conferences and workshops.

Requirements: 

• Valid and active NMC Registration. 
• 6 Months proven experience as a Registered Nurse with Endoscopyexpertise. 
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Empathetic, caring, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. 
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. 
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. 
• This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check - which, if you are not on the DBS Update Service, MPS Healthcare will process for you free of charge.
