Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Goldsmith to join our team in Manchester. As a Goldsmith, you will be responsible for crafting and repairing jewellery pieces to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. From intricate designs to simple repairs, you will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years work experience with all rounder capabilities including managing accounts, book keeping, jewellery making, designing etc.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and repair jewellery pieces using various metals, including gold, silver and platinum.
- Interpret design sketches and specifications to create unique and customised jewellery pieces.
- Use a variety of hand tools, machinery and techniques to shape, solder and polish metals.
- Ensure that all finished pieces meet our strict quality standards for craftsmanship and durability.
- Collaborate closely with our design team and clients to bring their ideas and visions to fruition.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Goldsmith, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in working with a variety of metals, including gold, silver and platinum.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Strong technical skills in jewelry making techniques, including soldering, casting and stone setting.
Ability to interpret design sketches and specifications accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for jewellery making and a commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.
