Job description
Role: Senior Business Analyst Contracting Authority: Greater Manchester Police Contract Length: April 2024 – March 2025 Location: 2/3 days per week in Force Headquarters, Manchester. Not set days, in as required. Non–negotiable. Pay Rate: GBP500 – GBP524.42 Minimum Requirement:
- Candidate must live in Greater Manchester/north west area – if not, or you do not specify specific location, they will be rejected.
- Please confirm they are happy to attend office 2/3 times per week, on the coversheet.
- Candidate must have resided and worked in the UK for 3 years or more – if not they will fail police vetting. Please confirm this on the coversheet too.
Top 5 Evaluation Criteria: 1. Candidate resided/worked in UK for last 3+ years 2. Breadth of BA experience – tech and business change 3. People Management – tasking/co–ordinating 4. Verbal and written Communication / Stakeholder Management 5. TO BE Design experience – previously done this for large complex projects/programmes Other required experience/skills:
- Ideally BA qualified
- Some elements of tech knowledge
- Experience of managing and mentoring a team of Business Analysts with mix of experience.
- Able to look across whole programme – encompassing 5 projects.
- Understand how things fit in at Programme level.
- Adaptable and flexible
- Analytical and problem solving
- Calm and resilient
- Clear leadership direction
- Able to see through issues, articulate a way forward.
- Transferable skills – has worked on large complex strategic change projects/programmes.
- Standard MS Office
Desirable
- Project Management qualifications
- Experience of digital transformation within a public sector environment
- Experience of implementing a records management system
- Benefit realisation – end to end management – highly desirable.
- Police/public sector experience would be nice to have, not essential.
- MS Project online would be beneficial.
