Opportunity

Our customer is building and connecting a full-fibre broadband network to serve residential & business customer across the East of England and beyond.

The market might be cautious for FTTP but this company are pushing forward and offer stability along with growth, plus some industry leading profit share schemes across all levels – schemes that are only normally reserved for senior leaders can be gained across the levels, giving all the chance to share in the success.

Role

We need someone from a FTTP residential connections background to sit above the engineers and drive all aspects across FTTP installs across the patch.

It’s a supervisory role, but we need someone that has been on the tools and understands the end to end process of lighting up a customer, using both UG and OG to connect on a network mainly built using PIA.

This won’t strictly be residential installs, but with the odd commercial/business install to go along with it. The engineers will also be doing the service and repair, so will be quite all rounded technically.

The volume of work is steady, but growing as more customers sign up to the service so due to that, every customer visit at the moment should be perfect, as the engineers won’t be getting hammered by KPI’s or worrying about price work as all are direct labour on solid salary and benefits packages.

As supervisor, your role is to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible on a day to day basis, and as a coach / developer, help the engineers do they what are meant to be doing and on top of that, give a best in class customer experience.

That customer experience is key, and the engineers will be the face of the business so that face to face interaction is right up there with the most important of all of the KPI’s.

External work will be done by the pre-pull teams, so the majority of what the installation engineers will be doing is the final part of the journey – connections, both outside and inside customer premises.

What we are looking for

* Proven residential installations & service background and either a senior engineer / principle technician ready to make that formal move into leadership or, a supervisor that has made the move already but can point to the previous technical knowledge within FTTP connections.

* Ability to perform site surveys and establish appropriate installation routes and methods.

* FTTP Knowledge and experience including solid knowledge of fibre optic termination, installation and testing equipment.

* Best in class customer experience skills and ideally, the understanding for what makes a great net promoter score.

· Working at height knowledge / safety standards

* Leadership experience is needed – either senior engineer, principle technician or supervisor / manager.

* NRSWA Qualified and a driving license (6 points or less) are necessary
