Job description
We are on the lookout for Operations Assistants to join our team at the Festival of Speed 2024.You'll play a crucial role within the event planning team, to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of the Site Operations reception on the Festival of Speed event site. Your responsibilities will include interacting with guests, contractors, staff and members of the public, using your exceptional people skills, effective communication and infectious enthusiasm. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment responding to incoming telephone calls, radio communications and emails. The hours vary throughout the build up and break down of the event and will be detailed on the rota. Additional hours may also be required but will be discussed and agreed in advance. You must be available to work:10 June – 16 June: 0800-1800 | (3 days a week minimum) |
17 June - 23 Jun: 0800-1800 | (3 days a week minimum) |
24 Jun - 30 Jul: | (3 days a week minimum) |
1 Jul – 7 Jul: | shifts are split between early 07:00 – 16:00 and late 1600 - 19:00 |
8 Jul – 14 Jul: | shifts are split between early 07:00 – 16:00 and late 1600 - 19:00 |
15 Jul -21 Jul: | shifts are split between early 0630 - 1330 and late 1230 - 1930 |
22 Jul - 28 Jul: | (3 days a week minimum) |
29 Jul - 31 Jul: | (3 days a week minimum) |
We welcome people from all backgrounds, however, due to the nature of the events and the lengths of some of the shifts, we cannot accept applications from people under the age of 16. Please note that if your application is successful, shifts will be prioritised to those that can work every day of each event.
Goodwood is in a rural location and has restricted access by public transport, so reliable transport is essential.
