iRecruit are currently looking for 2 experienced Supplier Quality Technicians for a Rotherham based client. This is a full time, permanent position with excellent company benefits.
Main Job Purpose
To support the Supplier Development Manager and Supplier Quality Engineers in solving supplier issues, and getting good quality parts to production lines. To assist production with engineering change control and disposition of not OK parts. To be proactive about quality control and improvements, championing best practice with production and other colleagues.
Principal Duties
Assist Supplier Quality Engineers to improve supplier rankings through technical support, excellent problem solving and consistent communication.
Use analytical skills in order to systematically support the resolution of complex technical issues and reduce repeat concerns.
Support production with supplier-related issues to ensure continuity of supply and minimal production downtime.
Give full commitment and support for training, communications, health and safety, housekeeping and personal discipline.
To support the Goods-Inwards Inspector where capacity issues require, and to support 5S and stock control activities in all Supplier Quality areas.
Capture all costs associated with supplier quality concerns and secure approval for debit from the supply base in line with KPIs.
