We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Layout Engineer – Reactor Island Integration, to be involved in an industry leading, cutting-edge project for a new type of power station.

Role Purpose
The role sits within Reactor Island Layout team, responsible for the integration of key areas of the plant with regard to systems, components, operations, maintenance, architecture, construction, and assembly. The role will involve requirements capture & management, optioneering studies, design for X, and definition of a physical plant layout which meets the SMR objectives in line with the modular build philosophy.

Pay and Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £45k - £60k, plus:-

Each Rolls-Royce SMR power station will have the capacity to generate 470MW of low carbon energy, equivalent to more than 150 onshore wind turbines and enough to power a million homes. It will provide consistent baseload generation for at least 60 years, helping to support the roll out of renewable generation and overcome intermittency issues
