Account Director | Maternity Cover | Marketing Agency | Northamptonshire (Hybrid)
A senior member of the client services team responsible for strategic interactions with clients, the Account Director (AD) will be required to establish new, and own existing relationships by developing a comprehensive understanding of their client’s business, key drivers in their sector and become established as a trusted partner who provides value-added services. Able to easily deal with challenging projects, clients and situations through clever problem-solving and clear communication, the AD will be an individual who thrives under pressure. The AD will be required to manage a small team (of Senior Account Manager(s), Account Manager(s) and/or Account Execs) and assumes ultimate responsibility for excellent servicing of their clients and account profitability.
Responsibilities
- Financial management: keeping sight of all live projects/clients to ensure that the team is correctly managing budgets, cost estimates, and invoices. Forecasting turnover for all clients on a regular basis
- Think commercially in all aspects of work: considering where efficiencies could be applied, or how to grow existing projects or accounts
- Successful relationship development with senior client contacts - virtual and in-person - to enable regular open communication and effective completion of projects
- Use of our in-house job management system to expected standards: clearly communicating to the business forecasted costs, resource, billings and using it to share costs and timings with clients
- Contribute to and work towards a Key Account Plan for clients, including proactively looking for opportunities for account growth and the addition of new services
About the successful Account Director:
- Ideal candidate should have sufficient Senior Account Manager/Account Director experience within a marketing agency. The role may also be suited to senior project managers and marketing professionals from other sectors who have experience managing multiple projects & stakeholders at once, and have a keen eye for marketing communications
- Ideally some experience in retail or shopper marketing and customer service
- A passion for clear, direct and effective communications
- Strong attention to fine detail in copy and visuals
- Exemplary verbal and written English with particular strength in grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Highly proficient with Microsoft and G-Suite programmes including Word/Pages, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides and Outlook/Gmail
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, prioritisation and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and oversee operational functions effectively
- Strong communicator with the ability to develop relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues
- Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments
- Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed
