Supply Health and Safety Officer
Variable hours as and when required
££17.22 - £18.36 per hour including holiday pay

The Health and Safety Team are looking for a Health and Safety professional to assist with the safety and compliance checks which need to be carried out with employers before students can start their industry placements. These placements can span many sectors such as construction, engineering, catering, agriculture, floristry and many more. You will need to be able to gather key information, apply your health and safety knowledge, and be able to advise on the suitability of the placement.

You will need to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and have access to your own vehicle. Experience carrying out workplace safety inspections would be helpful. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your workload are key aspects of the role.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
