Teacher of Art with Design

Sutton High School

Location

Sutton, Greater London | United Kingdom

Job description

Sutton High School is seeking an engaging and passionate teacher with the ability to teach Art to A Level and Design Technology at KS3 to our highly motivated girls.

This is a part-time role (working four days per week).

The successful candidate should have the capability to teach across the secondary age range in Art, creating challenging and thought-provoking lessons, with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration. Both DT (Product Design) and Art (Fine Art) are incredibly popular at both GCSE and A Level, and it is the growth in these subjects which necessitates this role.

This role would suit an experienced teacher, or an ECT, looking to join a supportive department with superb ECT provision for professional development. At our school, girls want to learn, and you can focus on teaching your subject and enthusing them. Experienced teachers receive a generous planning allowance (20% PPA). For ECTs, additional planning time is given, and we have a comprehensive ECT mentoring programme.
