Painter & Decorator
Job Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Houghton Regis
Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour
We are looking for a Painter & Decorator to join the team and help maintain and improve affordable homes across Houghton Regis.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating works on domestic properties, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, skirting boards, etc.
- Preparing surfaces for painting and decorating, such as filling cracks, sanding, scraping, etc.
- Applying various types of paint, wallpaper, and other finishes, using brushes, rollers, sprayers, etc.
- Ensuring that all works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with specifications and health and safety regulations
- Liaising with residents, contractors, and other staff, and providing excellent customer service at all times
- Reporting any issues, defects, or damages to the supervisor or manager
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy, and disposing of any waste materials properly
- Using and maintaining tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Working as part of a team and supporting other colleagues as needed
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Painting and Decorating
