Job description

My client is a well establish architectural firm based in the City of London.

Due to recent growth they are recruiting for a newly qualified management accountant to take ownership of the top to bottom accounts at the business.

key responsibilities include:

  1. Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
    1. Manage Payables and Receivables processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
    2. Manage the payroll process/system to ensure accuracy and Check payroll data each month before submission.

  1. Submit VAT returns and payments to HMRC, Irish Vat returns and PSWT
  2. Ensuring PAYE is paid on time each
  3. Make annual submission to HMRC of P35 (tax and I. deductions from employees)
  4. Prepare submission of annual P11d forms (employee benefits).
  5. Work with external accountants to prepare annual statutory accounts and supporting Note: Accounts are mainly UK based (LLP is the contracting party)
  6. Prepare any other financial data which may be required from time to
  7. Liaise with external accountants on financial audit matters if required (we aren't currently required to be audited).

  1. Management Accounts
    1. Monitor cash flow and provide analysis and projections
    2. Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for company /
    3. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and provide schedules as

  1. Company Secretarial
    1. Submit Annual Returns and statutory accounts to Companies House to avoid any financial
    2. Submit any other forms to Companies House as may be required from time to time (change of Registered Office/ change of financial year end/ appointment-resignation of directors and officers).

  1. Payment Authorisations
    1. Manage and monitor financial authority levels to ensure
    2. Manage and monitor the expenses
    3. Agree and then authorise electronic
    4. Calculate any extraordinary payments where required (eg. bonus / leaving etc)

  1. Employee Benefits & Company Insurances
    1. Managing the administration of the Company Pension/Group Life/ensuring all comply with legal
    2. Liaise with insurance brokers where necessary to ensure cost effective and adequate insurance ELI/PLI/Office policies (not PII)

Advising insurers of all changes to assets/properties covered by our policies.

  1. Deal with all insurance claims whenever they

  1. Leadership
    1. Effectively manage others involved in the financial processes
    2. Offer advice to staff within the business and engender a team
    3. Work closely and positively with the Support Team and other managers to provide effective company leadership
