Our client is a growing professional services company who provide structural engineering consultancy for a wide range of commercial and residential projects throughout the UK.

Due to their continued success our client has appointed Staffbase to recruit for the position of Operations / General Manager to oversee the day to day running of all business operations.

The Role:

Reporting to the managing director you will be responsible for the 'day to day' running of a very successful and expanding structural engineering company.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Day to day management of core business operation
• Manage and improve processes, policies and procedures
• Effective management and development of personnel including mentoring, professional development, recruitment etc etc
• Assist with business development opportunities
• Project manage new initiatives within the business including development of IT systems e.g. CRM systems and bid creation system
• Produce weekly, monthly financial and KPI reports for the directors

Candidate:

You will be an experienced operations or general manager ideally with a background in the construction, professional services and /or built environment sector.

Applicants will play a key role in the future development and expansion of the business so you will demonstrate a proven track record of success in a similar role.

A good understanding of structural engineering or professional services will be beneficial.

Applicants with experience in project managing IT systems development would be good.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Excellent basic re numeration negotiable £70K-£80K
