12 Month Contract (Maternity Cover)Our client who are one of the most highly rated 5 Star Hotels in the southeast are looking for a Pastry Sous Chef. This is a 12 month contract to cover the Head Chef who is due to go on maternity leave, you will be responsible for covering the hotels entire Pastry offering, which includes 2 restaurants, banqueting and a Spa with a team of 8 Pastry Chefs. The Hotel expects nothing less than perfection and with incredibly demanding guests the quality of the food must be the highest standard at all times!

You will be working as part of a team of over 40 Chefs and working closely alongside the Head Chef's from each department as well as the Executive Chef to deliver a memorable experience to the guests, so working well as part of a large team is essential. Having a genuine passion for hospitality is also essential, as the hotel prides themselves on their people, with a team of professionals who all love what they do, with a friendly and positive approach to their work.

With demanding guests, last minute requests and ever changing dietaries, you will need be creative and have the ability to think on the spot with strong organisational skills and of course be in touch with the latest food trends. The ideal Chef should preferably come with previous experience at Sous Chef level or above, within an establishment that prides themselves on their food and previous experience from within a high Rosette, 5 star hotel or Michelin starred restaurant environment is desirable but not essential.
