Our client based in Newmarket is a highly successful, well-established, privately-owned manufacturing company, a market leader in its field and is now seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for routine and repairs maintenance on a variety of machinery including, special purpose machines, and tooling.

We are seeking a talented engineer who has strong mechanical maintenance background and fault-finding skills including machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, also first line electrical experience would also be advantageous. For the right individual there will be an opportunity to develop into a more senior role as your skills & knowledge progress.

You will also have strong machining skills to manufacture Jigs / Fixtures and repairs on machine parts as well as to carry out general process enhancements and fabrications

What you will be responsible for:

• Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic & electrical fault finding and diagnostic checks.
• Planned maintenance activities.
• Reactive maintenance on various production machinery & equipment
• General facilities maintenance.
• Manufacture of Jigs / Fixtures, tooling, fabrication & general machining.
• Working on inhouse projects and improvements.
• Equipment safety enhancements.
• Developing first line maintenance information for manufacturing personnel.

• Recognised engineering qualification, ONC/City & Guilds / BTEC
