What will I be doing?

• Take a pro-active role in running a busy metrology lab.
• Carry out calibrations/verifications using metrology equipment and methods.
• Maintain the metrology lab equipment's calibration status and housekeeping.
• Maintain metrology procedures to ensure their correct applications and propose improvements where necessary.
• Maintain the quality management system within the metrology lab to ensure compliance.
• Provide, through knowledge and experience, support to production with regards metrology.
• Participate when necessary with training or awareness operations for operators in the use of measurement equipment and best practices.
• Schedule calibration/verifications regimes to minimise disruption to internal customers.
• Liaise with calibration houses to schedule collection/delivery of equipment requiring external verifications.
• Review approved vendor supplied calibration certificates to ensure they comply with Safran LS requirements and update the system to reflect this.
• Manage the resolution of equipment that fail calibration/verification requirements.
• Participate in both internal and external audits with regards Metrology & investigations for Materials Lab and Test Engineering

What will I be doing?
