Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based within our Nottingham and Leeds Offices.

The Role:
The successful candidate will provide technical support and experience by working with our team of building services designers and Revit Technicians on a wide range of projects across varying market sectors, delivering services from inception / feasibility through to detailed and fully-coordinated design for installation purposes. RIBA stage 0 to 5.
Duties will include:
- Liaise professionally with clients, professional teams, contractors and staff of all levels
- Be responsible for the delivery of projects leading small mixed discipline team of Revit and building service engineers and administration support staff
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulatory and design standards
- Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff and apprentices providing clear guidance and direction.
- Assist with the setting of design strategy
- QA documents, design, drawings prior to issue, to ensure Anderson Green standards are maintained
- Attend client, design team and project meetings
- Undertake feasibility studies and surveys
- Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
- Production of detailed mechanical services design
- Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews
- Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
- Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
- Referring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations
Preferred skills, experience & qualifications:
- Degree or HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalent
- Experience of a similar role
- Proficient with relevant industry design software
- Good time management, organised with a flexible attitude
- Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
- Have a full UK driving license
- Full time employment (40hours per week)
