Role and responsibilities:
- Understanding client requirements for cyber security solutions and translating these into technology-based solutions using several suitable portfolio offerings
- Providing advice to clients on technical and operational security measures designed to help defend against cyber threats
- Leading complex deployments of cyber security portfolio solutions for existing and new clients
- Authorship, ownership, and peer approval of High-Level Design (HLD) documentation
- Ensuring technical sign-off of Low-Level Design (LLD) and operational documentation
- Act as mentor and provide support to colleagues across the Architecture and Engineering teams
- Provide technical input for ongoing development of portfolio and to bids, solutions, and RFP documents
Required skills and experience:
- Significant experience working as a Cyber security technical architect with proven experience working in commercial, public and/or industrial sectors
- Solid grasp of information security requirements and capabilities across different industries
- A depth of information technology and information security experience
- Experience in design and deployment of several of the following technologies:
- Endpoint, network and infrastructure threat protection
- SIEM – Security information and event management
- APT – Advanced Persistent Threat detection
- DLP – Data loss prevention
- VA – Vulnerability Analysis and mitigation
- PKI – Public key infrastructure
- IDAM – Identity Access Management
- Secure networks, flow monitoring and application control
- Server hardening
- Securing virtual environments
- Security auditing and operational controls + technical controls
- Ability to guide engineering teams through the deployment where required; ability to write and review reports, procedures, and standards
- Experienced Atos Unified Engineering Methodology certified practitioner
Desirable skills and experience:
- Industry recognized security qualification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISMP, SSCP, CISA, ISACA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, etc.)
- Industry recognized technology certification (e.g., MCSE, CCDP, CCIE, RHCA, etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of UK government protective marking standards; industry standards, including PCI-DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.
- Awareness of common exploits and vulnerabilities and how these may be prevented
- Strong network engineering and server architecture awareness
- Previous hands-on experience in network/server and security operational roles
- IT Security pre-sales experience; previous information security management experience
