- Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 12pm
Our client in Blackburn, Lancashire are on the lookout for a 1st line Support Engineer to join their growing team where you will be providing IT Support to the wider business and playing an active role in key Infrastructure projects.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide IT support and maintenance to the wider business, acting as the first point of contact all technical queries
- Strong focus on customer service whilst troubleshooting or resolving any technical queries whether this is in person, over the phone or through email and ticketing systems.
- Escalate any queries, issues and recommendations to the IT manager whilst keeping response times and SLA's in mind
- Support the IT Manager on a day-to-day basis
- Conduct IT related work within company guidelines to ensure that best practice procedures are adhered to
- Acting as the first point of contact for a lot of key infrastructure projects, working well with senior business stakeholders
The following skills and experience will be beneficial for the role:
- Provide first line IT support for office and factory (ie, PC/Printer troubleshooting, logon issues, phones system) and maintain IT helpdesk
- Experience of diagnose and resolving issues for the on-premise phone system
- Strong teamworking skills with company employees
- Ability to follow instructions, schedules and rotas
- Willing to learn and undergo training.
