If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team of educators at our secondary schools in Grays as a History Teacher .

As a History Teacher , you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to excel academically and beyond.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging history lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes historical inquiry, critical thinking, and empathy.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities that deepen students' understanding of historical concepts.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, parent engagement initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching history at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for history that inspires and motivates students.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
