Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Civil engineering principles, techniques, and methods, including mathematical, scientific, and technical know-how, to civil engineering and the construction process
• Operate appropriate software packages for data gathering and analysis, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
• Apply statutory health, safety and welfare policies, procedures, and regulations in the civil engineering environment, using risk management processes, procedures, and documentation
• Apply environmental policies and sustainable principles in civil engineering projects, recognising the need to reduce carbon use, lower emissions and plan for wider sustainability
• Consider equality, diversity and inclusion in the delivery of civil engineering projects
• Plan, carry out and manage own work in line with quality assurance

The training you will be getting

Completion of a level 3 civil engineering technician apprenticeship. 

Apprenticeship training will take place on day release at college, travel will be required for any additional training. Head Office is in Northamptonshire and travel will be required to attend induction and training at this location. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

From this course you may wish to persue a further career in Civil Engineering and move onto the Senior Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.
