- Leading and managing outsourcing projects - Responsibility of a portfolio of clients with varying sizes and requirements, ranging from VAT return preparation through to Management Accounts and advisory work offering a more bespoke service when requested by the clients
- Supervising financial reporting and bookkeeping functions.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance for financial functions.
- Overseeing and guiding the work of junior team members.
- Building and maintaining client relationships.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in processes.
- Contributing to business development activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Outsourcing Manager should have:
- A qualification in Accounting, for example ACA or ACCA;
- Proficiency in cloud-based financial management software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in designing and implementing financial systems and controls, useful not compulsory
- Relevant and current Outsourcing experience / Financial Controller level experience if in industry
- Planning, supervision and review of statutory accounts including preparing notes for partners.
- Assist the outsourcing team with technical matters and work alongside the outsourcing team to bring jobs through from bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts to statutory accounts production.
- The ability to prepare and supervise the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Assisting and managing staff with technical accounting issues.
- Billing and monitoring actual costs against budgets and reporting to partners on variances.
