Job description
Technical Manager required for my client who work within the sound and vibration measurement market of engineering.
The successful Technical Manager will be in charge of the technical procedures for all company calibration processes. They will need to have profound experience within test and measurement systems, as well as, be time served within a lab and calibration environment.
Technical Manager Position Overview
- Maintaining the technical procedures for the calibration processes.
- Identify training needs and provide technical training for calibration staff.
- Ensure staff are compliant with and committed to the highest levels of health, safety and housekeeping.
- Manage the calibration team to achieve and exceed the calibration departments goals through continuous improvement.
- Managing the calibration equipment.
- Identify new resources to maintain and improve calibration service levels.
- To maintain approved templates to perform calibrations of our customers test equipment.
Technical Manager Position Requirements
- Qualifications - (professional, academic or a combination of the two) in acoustics, electronics or a related engineering field.
- Experienced within the test and measurement industry of engineering and calibration.
- Time served in a lab is essential.
- Had the responsibility for maintaining calibration technical procedures.
- Previously had a leadership role in an ISO9001/ISO/IEC 17025 calibration environment.
- Strong IT literacy, with proficiency in MS Excel in particular.
- Based within a commutable distance of Milton Keynes.
- Full UK driving licence.
Technical Manager Position Remuneration
- Salary - £30,000 to £45,000 - dependent upon; skills, qualifications and experience.
- Full time position.
